Stelios Psomas is a leading Greek PV consultant and lobbyist. He started campaigning for PV in Greece already in 1995 (as a Greenpeace energy & climate campaigner).

Since then he has pushed for the introduction of support schemes for PV and the opening of the market through his role as a policy advisor for the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies (HELAPCO). He has been actively involved in the introduction of feed-in tariffs, self-consumption support schemes, auction schemes and long-term energy planning in Greece.

In particular, he was involved in the drafting of most of the PV-related legislation in Greece, and has also acted as an advisor to the banking sector, facilitating the financing of PV systems.

Dr. Dionysis Papachristou was born in Tzouba Soudan (17.12.1971) and originated from village Voutsara (Ioannina). He received Diplοma in Electrical & Computer Engineering on 1995, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering on 2000, both from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. He is working in Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) of Greece ας Scientific Expert, since 2001. Until December of 2004 he has been Coordinator in the Licensing procedure (Supply Licenses, Production Licenses for conventional and RES stations), then in the Consumer & Environment Protection Unit, and later in the Unit of Non-Interconnected Islands with many responsibilities in a lot of fields of the electricity energy sector. Currently he is Coordinator of RES Auction Team which run the auction procedures for renewable energy source under the approved State Aid scheme by EU (SA 44666, SA 48143) and Director of Press & Public Relations Office. His research and scientific interests are in the fields of Power Systems, Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Policy and strategy. He has published papers and studies at scientific conventions with a jury and has represented RAE in summits regarding the energy sector.

Yannis Kampouris was born in Athens on 1962. He received the Diploma of Electrical Engineering in 1985 and the Doctor of Engineering degree in 1992, both from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). From 1991 until 2001 he was working in the Public Power Corporation (PPC) - System Studies Department. On 2001 he joined the Hellenic Transmission System Operator (HTSO) where he served as Director of System Planning Department. On February 2012 he joined the Independent Power Transmission Operator S.A. (IPTO S.A.); until May 2015 he was Director at the CEO office of the Independent Power Transmission System (IPTO S.A.). From May 2015 until February 2017 he served as Director of the Transmission System Planning Dprtm. From February 2017 to June 2017 he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IPTO S.A. From June 2017 until today he is member of the Board of Directors of IPTO S.A. and the Chief Officer for Operation, Infrastructures and Development.

From 1988 to 1996 he was Research and Teaching assistant at the NTUA, School of Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineers. From 2002 to 2011 he was associate Professor at the Technological University of Piraeus.

His main activities include system studies, transmission planning, generation simulation, generation adequacy, market design, interconnections and integration of renewables into EPS.

Yannis Kampouris is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, IEEE, CIGRE, and CIGRE Hellenic Committee since 1992; since 2008 he is member of the BoD. He is also Senior Member of IEEE. He has served Entso-e from various positions (member of the System Development Committee and member of the Research and Development Committee, member of the Ten Year Network Development Planning Group, e-Highways Group and Convener of the South East European Continental Regional Group from 2009 up to 2016).

He is Author or co-author of more than 150 publications in international journals, national and international conferences.

Charilaos Lazanis received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering in 1994 from the University of Patras, Greece. He holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Cardiff Business School, UK.

During the years 2000 - 2002 he worked at Cyprus Leasing SA in Athens as Credit & Marketing Officer. Since 2003 has been working in DAPEEP SA (former LAGIE SA) in the Renewable Energy Sources Department. His primary duties as deputy director are signing the Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) on behalf of DAPEEP, issuing the statements for the monthly settlement of the RES producers in the Interconnected System and applying all the relevant legislation regarding contract management and pricing of the various renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, his professional experience and expertise involves the integration and implementation of the new energy policies in the field of RES support schemes and the legal issues of RES Power Purchase Agreements.

He has represented LAGIE in numerous workshops and conferences regarding photovoltaics. He is also member in various committees regarding the national policy measures towards the transition to the new RES support scheme, and the reform of licensing procedures of renewable energy technologies in Greece.

Fotis Gakis received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering in 2005 from the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a Master of Science in Energy Production and Management and a Master in Business Administration.

From 2007 he works in the energy sector and since 2016 he works as a Policy Engineer in the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO), being involved with regulatory issues for grid-connected users. His main activities include self-consumption support schemes, requirements for generators, storage, demand response and energy communities.

Vassilis Zorbas was born in Athens in 1974, he studied Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and holds an MBA from Cardiff Business School. He is a fluent speaker of 3 languages, with extensive experience in the recruitment, structure and leadership of multi-cultural teams accompanied with extensive experience in the Development and Execution of Utility scale Renewable Energy projects. Vassilis started his career holding various managerial positions in Unisys and Procter & Gamble Greece. Since 2006 he has been working in the Renewable Energy sector in Project Development, EPC execution and General Management positions. After leading the Solar Engineering teams of strong international groups such as Wuerth Solar, Skysolar and Sunrise, he moved to Phoenix Solar where he served for 3 years as a General Manager for Greece and Commercial Director for Europe. Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of Entricity, a firm specialised in Business Development, Design and Construction of Solar and Wind projects throughout Europe.

Dr S.Kapellos is a graduate of the Chemical Department of the University of Athens (UOA), Greece (1986). In 1991 he received his PhD on the field of Physical Chemistry from the same Institution. The research was a collaboration between UOA and the Michigan State University (MSU) Physical Chemistry Teams. In 1993 he was hired by BP Hellas SA as Chemist in the Perama Lubricants and Fuels Quality Control Chemical Laboratory. Since then he had the opportunity to be positioned at various managerial posts within the BP Hellas Organization: Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, Human Resources, Customer Services, Pricing and Credit. In 2004 he moves to Northern Greece as Retail Fuels District Manager North.

In 2007 when BP Solar is established, Dr. S.Kapellos is appointed as the leader (CEO) of the new organization, in order to setup the new business.

In 2010 he moves to ELPE Renewables (100% owned by ELPE Group), developing and managing the Renewables portfolio of the Hellenic Petroleum Group. He currently holds the position of the Operation and Development Director of the company, being at the same time BoD member. Τhe current RES portfolio of ELPE Renewables is 130 MW of photovoltaic projects and 25 MW Biomass, of which 10 MW PV in operation and another 9 MW PV project under construction. A 6.8 MW wind park was acquired in 2013.

Dr.S.Kapellos has published several scientific articles in international magazines during his academic career. He has written a number of articles on subjects related to Safety, Hygiene and Environment and in the last years on Solar Technology and Energy Policy for newspapers, relevant magazines and e-media.

Since 2008, he has been an elected member of the board of the Hellenic (Greek) Association of PV companies (HELAPCO) and since April 2013 Chairman of the board of the Association.

Takis SARRIS is a Mechanical Engineer with an MSc in Energy Production from CHP plants. He has 18 years of experience in the energy industry, 10 years in executive level positions developing and executing operational strategies. In the early ‘00s, as Project Manager of TEMA Energy SA, he successfully implemented the first natural gas tri-generation CHP plant in Greece. In 2006 he joined the RES world as Project Manager of Suntechnics GmbH and Conergy GmbH, and in 2008 he joined juwi Hellas SA as CTO. In 2012, as CTO of juwi Hellas, the company was declared by Fortune magazine as the 7 th fastest developing company in Greece. In 2014, as CTO of juwi Hellas, he participated in the establishment of the company in the emerging Turkish RES market, where he successfully implemented one of the first PV plants that was ever connected in the Turkish grid. In 2016, as MD of juwi Hellas, he participated successfully in the pilot Greek Tender for new Solar projects, which was the beginning of the new era in the Greek solar industry. Since December 2014 he is the President and Managing Director of juwi Hellas SA, developing the appropriate policies to meet juwi Group’s mission of being one of the top RES developers worldwide.
